In the period 1994
- 2006, ACMER has conducted 49 workshops and 69 short courses to assist
the Australian minerals industry. Topics addressed in these courses/workshops
are quite diverse, but generally focus on significant industry issues
such as acid drainage, cyanide management, closure issues and water
management. The workshops and short courses are well supported by personnel
from industry, government and regulatory agencies, with average attendance
of 65 and 25 respectively.
