Introducing... SMI Knowledge Transfer
Welcome
On 1 July 2009, ACMER, formerly a unit within the Sustainable Minerals Institute (SMI) at the University of Queensland, became part of JKTech Pty Ltd and we are now known as SMI Knowledge Transfer (SMI KT). SMI KT offers an expanded range of professional development and training courses to the global resources industries. The new entity, SMI Knowledge Transfer, aims to build on the already strong brands of ACMER, JKTech and the six SMI Centres.
SMI KT offers mining industry and government personnel, from operations through to corporate level, quality professional development and training in all aspects of the mine life-cycle. The range of activities (while highlighting sustainable innovations) encompasses exploration, operation, closure, relinquishment and other life-of-mine aspects to enable mining industry and government personnel to gain knowledge and skills for any part of the mine life-cycle they desire.
